Dr. Stephen Monroe, PhD
One of a small number of researchers worldwide to have carried out government-sponsored, pre-clinical cannabinoid research.
“The key to being healthy is exercise and movement. The key to exercise is healthy joints, muscle, bone, and pain-free, joyful movement.”
Dr. Stephen Monroe, PhD
The Department of Defense years
Dr. Monroe led a series of DOD-funded experiments on battlefield hemorrhagic shock, using a modified cannabinoid.
Severe blood loss leads to hemorrhagic shock. Once it sets in, there is roughly an hour – the golden hour – to reach medical attention before organ damage from the resulting inflammation becomes fatal.
In those experiments, cannabinoids extended that window to over eight hours by protecting the liver, kidneys and lungs from inflammation.
That work, alongside his research in wound trauma, inflammation, and tissue regeneration, is the foundation these products are built on.
A formulation he calls MMPr
MMPr is the next generation of a formulation Dr. Monroe first developed for chronic wound care, and it addresses a group of enzymes that break down tissue, joints and bone when they remain active longer than the body needs them to.
Blending it with CBD brings together two natural formulations, and two decades of experience in chronic, non-responding wounds.
It is what makes this family of products one of a kind, and it is the part of the story worth understanding properly.
Built on the research
Every formulation in the range comes out of the work described on this page.
